We believe in fostering sentimentality through finely crafted, hand-held goods that connect people to their roots. In today’s fast-paced digital age, the natural world reminds us to slow down and return to a more grounded way of living.
Our work began with a deeply personal piece—a ring made from an apple tree in my aunt’s backyard. That tree carried the laughter and adventures of my son, my brother Derek, and me as children. Today, the three of us each wear a ring made from its wood, carrying a tangible piece of our shared story. It’s more than jewelry—it’s a connection, a memory, and a reminder of where we come from.
We offer this same service to families and individuals who want to preserve what matters most. Whether it’s transforming a grandmother’s cutting board into heirloom rings for loved ones, creating keepsakes from a grandfather’s workbench, or turning a mother’s jewelry box into something new, we craft meaningful objects that honor memory and tradition.
Every piece we create is one-of-a-kind, designed to keep your story alive and give you something to hold onto for generations.
HANDCRAFTED SENTIMENTAL KEEPSAKES
Handcrafted Rings & Keepsakes from Historic Cleveland Trees
Cleveland is the kind of place you grow into. Though I didn’t grow up here, it has become my home, and I feel deeply connected to the city’s history and community. When I discovered pieces of a storied Moses Cleveland tree, I knew they deserved a second life as meaningful, handcrafted works of art.
As a woodworker, there’s a unique balance—loving the machines, the craft, and the process, but also respecting the living trees themselves. When a historic or damaged tree comes down, it feels like a gift. My mission is to honor that gift by creating rings, sculptures, and keepsakes that carry forward its legacy.
The Moses Cleveland Tree Project began in 1946 to commemorate Cleveland’s 150th anniversary, identifying 150 trees that stood when the city was founded in 1796. Most are gone, but when one of Lakewood’s last historic trees fell in 2016, I was entrusted with a large piece to carve into a sculpture now standing in Lakewood Park. From the remaining wood, I craft custom rings and heirlooms, allowing Cleveland families to carry a piece of their city’s story with them.
Each creation is one-of-a-kind, rooted in history, and designed to keep Cleveland’s legacy alive for generations.
